This article looks at the data gaps in the literature surrounding the energy-‐water nexus. In order address one of these gaps, the authors quantify the total energy-‐related water use in the United States. The results of the study suggest that the water sector might be a meaningful area to target for energy-‐efficiency policy. (© GWF)
