This paper has set out clear recommendations on energy efficiency, providing much-needed industry input into the current debate on the measures needed to achieve the EU’s 2020 energy efficiency target.
Focusing on both cross-cutting issues and individual sectors, “More is Less – The Role of Electricity in Energy Efficiency” shows that this role encompasses far more than just electricity-efficient end-user appliances. Indeed, while such appliances are indispensible, certain energy-efficient solutions might actually require the use of more electricity, as is the case for the electrification of transport or heating & cooling.
