The climate agreement announced between the United States and China on November 20, 2014 has renewed optimism and mobilized commitments to address climate change. The Lima Accord of December 14, 2014 now lays the foundation for the 2015 United Nations Convention on Climate Change in Paris. Despite concerns over the shortcomings of these agreements, they add to the rising calls for further action to protect the environment…
