Analysing the emission gap between pledged emission reductions under the Cancún Agreements and the 2 °C climate target
Analysing the emission gap between pledged emission reductions under the Cancún Agreements and the 2 °C climate target / Michel den Elzen, Mark Roelfsema, Andries Hof, Hannes Böttcher, Giacomo Grassi. The Hague : PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, 2012, 110 p. ISBN: 978-90-78645-95-5
Many countries have pledged to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by 2020. Due to upward revisions of greenhouse gas emission projections in many developing countries higher emission levels from the pledges are expected, and therefore, achieving the 2 degree Celsius climate goal becomes more difficult. This report analyses the effect of the pledges submitted by Parties in the Cancún Agreements on the 2 degree emission gap, taking into account all the new information available. It pays specific attention to uncertainties and risks. (© PBL)

La croissance effrénée de certains pays émergents tels que le Brésil, la Chine ou l’Inde fait augmenter les émissions mondiales de gaz à effet de serre bien plus rapidement que ce que les scientifiques ne l’avaient anticipé…
