This policy brief suggests ways the UNFCCC process can drive pre-2020 ambition under work stream 2 by developing more robust procedures to record, review, reinforce, and recruit the pledges of member states but also of companies, cities, and other sub- and non-state actors, as well as sectoral initiatives like those around HFCs, aviation, etc.
